Festival of Fish begins this weekend

VERMILION — Festival of Fish will be in Vermilion this weekend.The festival in downtown Vermilion on Main Street has been entertaining people for 53 years.Starting Friday, there will be a wide range of activities to join, including kids activities, live entertainment, fireworks, a marketplace, a sand castle building contest and more. The fireworks are launched over Lake Erie from the Vermilion break wall starting at dusk on Friday. All three days will have live entertainment, including Disco Inferno 70's Movin' & Groovin', Vermilion Windjammers Big Band, Tim Blake, Tyler Reid, Sunset Harmony, Dirty Deeds AC/DC Tribute Band, The Elephants 60's blend.The 53rd annual Festival of Fish in Vermillin kicks off Friday. The three day event will feature kids activities, live entertainment, fireworks, marketplace, parade, food, boat parade, sand castle building contest, crazy craft contest and more.Saturday's highlights will include the crazy craft race at 1 p.m., an antique wooden boat parade at 3 p.m. and a lighted boat parade at dusk.The 53rd annual Festival of Fish in Vermillin kicks off Friday.
