Dorothy J. Crist

Dorothy J. Crist, 78, of Rawson, passed away on January 5, 2022 in Findlay, OH. She was born on June 16, 1943 in Lima to the late George and Velma (Schroeder) Pope. On November 22, 1972, she married Burt Crist and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2017. Dorothy is survived by her son, Mark (Amy) Crist of Findlay; stepsons: Larry (Pat) Crist of Bluffton and Robert (Susan) Gardner of Columbus Grove. She is also survived by her brothers: Charles Pope of Toledo, Raymond Pope of Columbus, Kenneth (Karen) Pope of Pandora, Lewis (Kathy) Pope of Fremont and Dennis Pope of Columbus Grove along with sisters: Jilia Pope of Lima, Rose Taylor of Findlay and Mary Pope of Ottawa. Dorothy was blessed with her grandchildren: Katelynn Erman, Bailey Bissell, Hannah Crist, Mark Crist Jr., Carter Crist and Jack David Crist; one great-grandchild: Aubrey Erman. She is preceded in death by her brother, John Pope and sisters: Ruth Poole and Margaret Honigford. Dorothy was a 1961 graduate of Pandora High School and spent her life caring for her family, as a homemaker. She enjoyed taking trips and going on walks. You could find Dorothy exploring garage sales and auctions, looking for hidden treasures. Dorothy will be missed by her family, friends and all that knew and loved her. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to her family. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay.
