Tiffin women's basketball edges Oilers

TIFFIN —Tiffin's Aarion Nichols scored with 12 seconds on the clock and the University of Findlay missed two 3-point attempts before the final buzzer in dropping a 60-57 decision to the Dragons in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference women's basketball game on Tuesday. Brianna O'Connor came off the bench to knock down five 3-pointers and score a game-high 24 points for Tiffin (6-7, 3-4 GMAC). Nichols added 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Sydney Kin led UF with 13 points. Serena Sammarone and Paige Bellman (5 rebounds) added nine points each and Bridget Landin (7 rebounds) had eight for the Oilers (5-10, 3-6 GMAC), who led 33-30 at the half but were outscored 18-9 in the third quarter.
