Doolittle scores 19, Eagles beat McComb

McCOMB – Cason Doolittle was a perfect 9 of 9 from the foul line, scored 19 points, and Liberty-Benton used a big second quarter to topple McComb, 67-50. Austin Hanni-Wells had 13 points for the Eagles, who broke open a close game with a 19-9 spurt in the second quarter. Hanni-Wells added eight boards. The Eagles improved to 12-3, 5-1 in the BVC. The Panthers (4-11, 3-3) received 19 points and seven rebounds from Brad Miehls, and 15 points and five rebounds from Camden Glaser. DANBURY 67 H. LOUDON 62 LAKESIDE – Bradley Murray erupted for 32 points – nearly half of his team's total, and Danbury was able to hold off Hopewell-Loudon in overtime, 67-62. Evan Kreais put up 24 points for Hopewell-Loudon, while Donovan Elmore scored 15 and Ried Jury registered 10 points and 12 assists. The Chieftains fell to 9-3, 6-3 in the Sandusky Bay Conference River Division. NORTH BALTIMORE 48 C-R 29 NORTH BALTIMORE – North Baltimore led Cory-Rawson 16-3 after one quarter, got a team-high 27 points from Mitch Clark, and routed the Hornets, 48-27. Owen Clark had 10 points for the Tigers (3-11), while Johnny Hagemyer had nine points. Cory-Rawson (2-12) was paced by Mike Bixler, who scored nine. SPENCERVILLE 61 COL. GROVE 37 SPENCERVILLE — Josh Henline connected on five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 17 points for Spencerville in its 61-37 trouncing of NWC foe Columbus Grove Friday. Dylan Smith scored 14 points for the Bearcats. Bo Birnesser paced the Bulldogs with 10 points, while Trey Sautter scored nine. O-GLANDORF 62 VAN WERT 60 OTTAWA — After three quarters, it looked as if Ottawa-Glandorf was going to run away with its WBL league game against Van Wert. The Titans were up 49-35. Van Wert came storming back in the fourth quarter, though, using a 25-13 tilt to make things close. O-G still got the win by two, 62-60. Theo Maag dropped a game-high 18 points for the Titans. Colin White scored 15. Garett Gunter scored a team-high 15 points for the Cougars. Aidan Pratt and Ethan Brown each scored a dozen. GENOA 52 FOSTORIA 50 GENOA — Genoa was down 41-32 heading into the final quarter of play against Fostoria on Friday. After the final whistle had blown—thanks to a 20-9 run—the Comets found themselves up two as they eke out a 52-50 win over the Redskins. Jon Huston paced Genoa with four 3-pointers and a game-high 19 points. Skylar Ju scored 15 points. The Redskins were led by Lakai Robinson, who scored a team-high 18 points. Zach Ward finished with 16 points. Jordan Ferguson had a dozen points. EASTWOOD 70 ELMWOOD 35 BLOOMDALE — Eastwood was able to keep Elmwood's always dangerous Bryce Reynolds in check, allowing him to score just nine points in the Eagles' 70-35 trouncing of the Royals in NBC league-play Friday. It was close after the first, with Eastwood leading 15-13. The Eagles outscored Elmwood, 55-22, the rest of the way, however. Jake Meyer paced Eastwood, scoring a game-high 19 points. Case Boos had 13 points. Kade Lentz paced the Royals with a dozen points. BLUFFTON 63 LINCOLNVIEW 43 VAN WERT — Kyler Kinn scored 14 points in the first half and 17 in the game as Bluffton's winning streak continues, knocking off Lincolnview Friday, 63-43. Since losing to Liberty-Benton on December 4 (51-29), the Pirates have won 11 in a row. Trenton Donley finished with 14 points for the Pirates. Carson Soper, Trey Boblitt and Marek Donaldson each scored eight points. Daegan Hatfield and Carson Fox paced the Lancers with nine points apiece. RIVERDALE 69 VANLUE 53 MOUNT BLANCHARD — Mitch O'Flaherty finished with 17 points and nine boards for Riverdale in its 59-53 win over Vanlue on Friday. Brayden Courtney scored a team-high 18 points and had six boards for the Falcons. Landon Miller had ten points, six rebounds and six steals. Jaren and Jerome Kloepfer both finished with a game-high 21 points in the losing effort for the Wildcats. USV 59 H. NORTHERN 46 DOLA — Connor Sanders scored a team-high 18 points for Upper Scioto Valley and Maddox Underwood threw in a dozen more as the Rams stay undefeated, beating Hardin Northern, 59-46. Jackson Rohrs finished with ten points for USV. Nevin Robson scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Hardin Northern. Zeb Wilson knocked down a pair of threes and finished with 10 points. ALLEN EAST 63 LEIPSIC 59 LEIPSIC — Things were all square between Allen East and Leipsic on Friday, as it was tied 42-42. In fact, after each quarter it was tied. After the fourth quarter, it was no longer tied as Allen East picks up a four-point, 63-59 over the Vikings on Friday. Carson Clum finished with 14 points for the Mustangs, which led the team. Jacob Hershberger and Keaton Miller each scored 13 points. Mason Brandt knocked down five 3s and finished with a game-high 30 points as well as a team-high nine rebounds. Paul Maag had ten points and six boards. GIRLS BASKETBALL B. CENTRAL 70 CAREY 49 CAREY — Claudia Pifher and Emily Siesel each scored 22 points for the Buckeye Central in its 31-point, 70-49 win over Carey on Friday in N10 league-play. Julia Evak scored a dozen for the Buckettes. Carey was paced by the play of Ady Stewart, who scored a team-high 11 points.
