Sheila Louise Patterson

Sheila Louise Patterson, 80, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at her residence. Sheila was born July 15, 1941, in Mansfield, to John "Jack" and Eileen (Walsh) Miner. She was previously married to Lowell Weeks, and April 18, 1992, she married John "Tom" Patterson. Sheila was a graduate of Mansfield St. Peter's High School. She retired from New Page Corporation, Dayton, where she worked in accounts receivable. Sheila had also been a manager at Top Value Enterprises, Mansfield, as a clerk at Kobachers Department Store, and was a switchboard operator at Ohio Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton, and Mansfield St. Peter's Catholic Church. Sheila belonged to Modern Mother's Club, Mansfield, where she received "Mother of the Year" award and enjoyed sewing. Sheila's survivors include her husband, John "Tom" Patterson of Bluffton; five children, Sue (Gene) Russell of Toledo, Jean (Tom) Bernhoft of Bluffton, John (Allison) Weeks of Mansfield, Lowell Weeks of Mansfield, and David Weeks of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Joseph Miner of Dayton; and sister, Mary Sue (Joseph) Palmer of Huber Heights. Sheila was preceded in death by a brother, John Miner, Jr.; and sister, JoAnn Moore. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton, with Father Luyen Dau officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
