Social Security office moves

The Findlay Social Security office will relocate to its new location at 15085 Flag City Drive on Monday. Most Social Security services are available to the public online at www.socialsecurity.gov and with a my Social Security account, by telephone or via in-person appointments for limited, critical situations. Information about services during the pandemic may be found at www.socialsecurity.gov/coronavirus Most Social Security services do not require the public to take time to visit an office. Individuals may create their own my Social Security account, a personalized online service, at www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount Through their personal my Social Security account, individuals can check personal information and conduct business with Social Security. Ohio residents may request a replacement Social Security card online if they meet certain requirements. Those who already receive Social Security benefits may start or change direct deposit online, or request a replacement SSA-1099. Those who need proof of their benefits can print or download a current Benefit Verification Letter from their My Social Security account. Individuals not yet receiving benefits can use their online account to get a personalized Social Security Statement, which provides earnings information as well as estimates of future benefits. The portal also includes a retirement calculator and links to information about other online services, such as applications for retirement, disability and Medicare benefits.
