Jack Silas Christman

Jack Silas Christman, 71, of Leipsic, passed away at 11:44 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2022, at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born Sept. 18, 1950, in Findlay, to Herbert and Carolyn (Cole) Christman. He married Susan Studer June 8, 1973, and she survives in Leipsic. Jack is also survived by two children, Gwen (Keith) Cupp of Leipsic and Jay (Jodie) Christman of Zionsville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Gavin (Shana Hovest) Cupp of St. Paul, Minnesota, Julia Cupp and Sara Cupp, both of Leipsic, and Jordyn Christman of Zionsville, Indiana; three brothers, Tom (Pat) Christman of Leipsic, and Ron Christman and Don (Dorothy) Christman, both of Ottawa; three sisters, Cindy (Marty) Friess of Delta, Jayne (Dean) Nuveman of Miller City, and Jeanne Selhorst of Leipsic; and sister-in-law, Roberta Christman of Deshler. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Herb Christman; and brother-in-law, Nick Selhorst. Jack was co-owner of Christman Bros. Builders, Inc. He was a member of Leipsic VFW. Jack enjoyed fishing, watching Ohio State football, and Detroit Tigers. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Jack especially enjoyed vacationing at the lake with his family. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic, with a small service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic, at a later date.
