Diana Denman Roth Binger

Diana Denman Roth Binger, 78, of Cedartown, Georgia, peacefully passed away at 6:38 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, with her family by her side at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. Diana was the eldest of the three daughters born May 7, 1943, to Dr. John and Florence Roth in Cleveland. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Ainsley Anne Roth. Diana is survived by her son John (Brandi) Binger, and their children, Jourdan, Jayden, Jonah, and Brooke Binger; her daughter, Christine Simerly and her children, Christopher and Nicholas Miles and Madison Sauvageau; her granddaughter, Lauren Simerly; and great-granddaughter, Avery Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister, Serena (Scott) Bateman of California. She was the loving Aunt Di to niece Ashley (Dave) Kelsheimer and their children, Olivia, Gracie and Landon; and to nephew, Adam (Ariana) Bateman and their children, Rose and Ethan. A thespian at heart, she was the director and costume designer for many childhood productions. She sang in her high school musical and appeared as a parade princess in Findlay's Sesquicentennial. Throughout her life she enjoyed sewing by making baptismal gowns for her grandchildren, the children's choir robes at her church, bridesmaids and flower girl dresses at her daughter's wedding, and costumes for Halloween and Christmas pageants. Diana was a proud member of Findlay Senior High School class of 1961 and kept in touch with friends from the class and frequently attended their reunions. Go Trojans! Growing up in Findlay, she was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Diana attended Miami University as an education major before graduating from Katharine Gibbs in New York City. Diana was an active member of Lutheran Church of Incarnation (LCI) in Marietta for over thirty years. She loved to serve as the worship and music chairperson and participate in the services as a lecturer or as an assisting minister. Diana's favorite thing to do at LCI was organizing events which she mastered due to the countless events she had organized over the years. Diana poured her heart and soul into her family, friends and church. The interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Maple Grove Cemetery, off West Main Cross Street in Findlay.
