Phyllis Jean Greer

Phyllis Jean Greer, 83, of Arlington, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born March 31, 1939, in Milburn, West Virginia, to Ballard and Linda (Meade) Greer. A wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, baking, and spending time with her family. Family reunions were the highlight of her year as she loved gathering with extended family and catching up on talk. Phyllis is survived by four sons, Leland (Nanette) Vantrease of Findlay, Kelvin (Ginger) Vantrease of Miamisburg, Darryl Vantrease of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Justin (Lynette) Vantrease of Willard; daughter, Felicia Vantrease of Fostoria; 11 grandchildren, Jesse (Kelly) Lugo, Mandi (Kyle) Dy, Chenoa (Mike) Reed, Callista Vantrease, Drew Vantrease, Logan (Lindsey) Vantrease, Troy (Hannah) Vantrease, Tyler Vantrease, Alexa Vantrease, Austin Vantrease, and Devin Vantrease; four great-grandchildren, MJ Reed, Isla Dy, Lucy Dy, and Carson Vantrease; four brothers, Harold, Burl (Joan), Alvin (Julie), and Melvin Greer; and six sisters, Sylvia VanAtta, Gerlene (Ross) Draper, Marlene Hurt, Gwen (Paul) Crowe, Neola Zechman, and Audrey Greer. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vonda Katrina; grandson, Mason; and four brothers, Claude, Merlin, Donnie, and Carl. Phyllis' memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Phyllis name may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
