Ritzler, Trojans blank Ross in five innings

Findlay's Matt Guthrie had two doubles in Wednesday's 12-0 win over Fremont Ross.One almost left the yard. The other, a wildly wind-blown pop-up, never left the infield.It was that kind of a night for the Trojans, and they were happy to oblige.Guthrie's first-inning double ignited an eight-run outburst. Ben Best had a two-out, two-run double during the rally, and Austin Sertell a two-run single.Guthrie also had a single in a 3-for-3 night at the plate. Best had a single and a double and Tucker Oliver a triple. Findlay, 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the TRAC had just nine total hits but took advantage of five Fremont Ross errors.Findlay's first-inning surge was plenty of offensive support for Blaine Ritzler.
