Spring into ArtWalk

The downtown streets of Findlay will be buzzing with artists, music and demonstrations from 5-9 p.m. Friday during the Spring ArtWalk. Artists will be located throughout downtown Findlay in local shops, restaurants and businesses, as well as in the downtown art anchors including the Findlay Art League and Marathon Center for the Performing Arts. The Jones Building artists' studios will also be open. An opening reception for the Findlay Art League's May Membership Show will be held from 5-9 p.m., featuring artwork created by members of the art league. An awards ceremony will be held at 7 p.m., and Wendy Chappell-Dick and Phil Gratz will perform a mix of rock, pop and country tunes from 6-8 p.m. The members show runs through May 27. Allen-Kramp Wealth Management, 520 S. Main St., will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a ribbon cutting and open house at 4:30 p.m., followed by ArtWalk vendors including Awakening Minds Art. Mini canvas painting, book signings and music will be featured from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and there will be a cocktail experience with The Bourbon Affair for those ages 21 and older at 5 and 6 p.m. Kelly Brown, a mixed media artist with Art by Kelly and Mini Miscellaneous, Toledo, will paint the business windows with a temporary art installation featuring a bull and bear — representative of the stock market — as well as coin flowers.
