Betty Mae Arras

Betty Mae Arras, 88, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born Dec. 28, 1933, in Toledo, to Milton & Helen (O'Hara) Harris. Betty married Morris D. Arras on July 15, 1951, and he preceded her in death June 22, 2008. She is survived by her son, Steven M. Arras of Flagstaff, Arizona; daughter, Jamie A. (Brad) Streeter of Reno, Nevada; daughter-in-law, Jo Arras of Dallas, Oregon; four grandchildren, Caitlin V. (Jordan) Schutt of Au Gres, Michigan, with a great-grandchild due in October, Kristin E. (Jon) Branan and two great-grandchildren of Arlington, Jennifer L. Streeter of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Jon M. (Sherry) Streeter and two great-grandchildren of Kalkaska, Michigan; sister, sister, Joy (Larry) Rinehammer; two brothers, James (Nadine) Andrus and Rick Andrus, both of Findlay; and brother-in-law, Dean Arras of Findlay. Betty was also preceded in death by her son, Michael D. Arras, who died July 20, 2021; and five siblings, Donna Sterling, Nancy Tennant, Judith Morrison, Stephen Harris, and Thomas Harris. Betty was a teacher's aide in Liberty-Benton School District for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and also volunteered at Blanchard Valley Hospital with the Women's Auxiliary. Betty's funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2300 Northridge Rd., Findlay. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to either Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bridge Hospice, or The Humane Society of Hancock County.
