Findlay Legion earns runner-up honors at tourney in Hillsboro | The Courier Springfield scored the go-ahead run on an error in the top of the eighth inning and held on to beat Findlay 4-3 in Friday's tournament opener. Findlay rattled off three straight wins to reach Sunday's championship game, but again fell 4-3 when Jake Shaver, who scored the winning run in Friday's win over Findlay, had the RBI single that capped a three-run sixth-inning rally and put Springfield up 4-3 in Sunday's final.
