Crow promoted to post at Findlay district

Lt. Matthew R. Crow, of the State Highway Patrol's Findlay post, has been promoted to staff lieutenant at the Findlay District Headquarters. Crow, who has been commander of the Findlay post, will transfer from his current assignment to serve as assistant district commander at the district headquarters, which encompasses seven patrol posts in northwest Ohio. Crow began his patrol career in February 1997. He earned his commission in July of that year and was assigned to the Fremont post, where he was selected as Post Trooper of the Year in 1999 and 2000; and Post, District and State Trooper of the Year in 2002. In November 2002, Crow was promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to the Wilmington post to serve as an assistant post commander. In 2003, he earned the Certificate of Recognition. As a sergeant, he also served at the Fremont and Sandusky posts, and in the Administrative Investigations Unit. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred to the Findlay post to serve as commander. Crow served in the Air National Guard from 1990 to 2017. He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 1995 from the University of North Dakota and an associate's degree in 1994 from the Community College of the Air Force. Crow completed training at Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command in 2006, and completed the Certified Law Enforcement Executive Program leadership training in 2019.
