Fair announces king and queen contestants

Hancock County Junior Fair royalty will be crowned as part of opening ceremonies for the Hancock County Fair beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Old Mill Stream Center. The king, queen, prince and princess will preside over the remaining days of the fair and be present at judging, contests and the Junior Fair livestock sale. Candidates must be 16-18 years old and a current member of 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Boys and Girls or Junior Achievement. An interview session was held earlier this month. Candidates are as follows: • Nathan Dunbar: Nathan is the son of Dennis Dunbar. He will be a senior at McComb High School. Nathan is a 3-year FFA member. • Lexis Heidlebaugh: Lexis is the daughter of Jill Warren and Kyle Heidlebaugh. She is a graduate of Liberty-Benton High School. She is a 10-year member of Pride of Pleasant 4-H Club and a 4-year FFA member. • Payton Logan: Payton is the daughter of Theresa Logan. She attends Riverdale High School where she is a senior. She is a 10-year member of the Horsemasters 4-H Club. • Kiden Lynch: Kiden is the daughter of John and Barbara Lynch. She is attending Owens College. She is a member of Lakeland Leaders 4-H club. • Jacob Miles: Jacob is the son of James and Kathy Miles. He will be a senior at Cory-Rawson High School and is a 9-year member of Blue Ribbon Stock 4-H Club. He is a 3-year member of the Cory Rawson FFA. • Allyson Patterson: Allyson is the daughter of Ron and Christine Patterson. She is a senior at Findlay Digital Academy. She is an 11-year member of Raise the Bar 4-H Club, and a 12-year Girl Scout. • Erica Patterson: Erica is the daughter of Michael and Deserae Patterson. She is a senior at Liberty-Benton High School. Erica is a member of the Millstream Farmers 4-H Club and the Liberty-Benton FFA. • Brayden Stoner: Brayden is the son of Troy and Angie Stoner. He graduated from Arcadia High School. He was a 5-year member of the Arcadia FFA.
