McCOMB 55 VANLUE 0 McCOMB – Brandon Althauser ran in a touchdown, caught two TD passes, and returned a punt 45 yards for a score a McComb shut out Vanlue, 55-0. Althauser finished with three catches for 104 yards, which included scoring receptions of 47 and 34 yards. The rushing touchdown went for 47 yards, McComb quarterback Grant Dishong completed all five of his passing attempts, for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Andrew Swisher had a pair of rushing TDs for the Panthers, and finished with 87 yards rushing. Brad Miehls scored on a 30 yard touchdown run for McComb, while teammate Blake Wittenmyer added a 34-yard scoring dash as McComb improved to 2-1. HENRY 0 COLUMBUS GROVE – Columbus Grove provided enough offense to put seven points on the board and plenty of defense to make sure that was enough as the Bulldogs blanked Patrick Henry 7-0 on Friday, Grove quarterback Brenton Renner completed 8-of-15 passes for 145 yards. Shep Halker caught only one of those throws, but it went for a 35-yard TD in the first quarter and ended up being the only score of the game. Columbus Grove (20-1) had just 69 yards rushing. P-G's Ethan Luginbill rushed for 161 yards on 29 carries and scored his ninth, tenth and 11th touchdowns of the season. His first TD of the night, on a 3-yard burst, tied the game in the second quarter. His second, on a 43-yard dash, put P-G on top 21-14. Luginbill's last TD of the night, a 7-yard run, came in the fourth quarter after Leipsic had trimmed the deficit to 27-21 on Quin Schroeder's 24-yard pass to Jacob Scheckelhoff. Schroeder also fired a 16-yard TD pass to Mike Jimenez to open the scoring, and raced 80 yards for a score that put the Vikings up 14-7.
