Pop superstar Mariah Carey visits Cedar Point

SANDUSKY — A five-time Grammy Award-winning artist was seen at America's Roller Coast on Labor Day. Pop superstar Mariah Carey visited Cedar Point Monday, confirming the trip with two photos on Instagram, a social networking site. "Had the best time at @cedarpoint! Never again with the heels though!" she said in her post, which could be seen by the singer's 11 million followers. Carey also snapped photos with other park visitors during the day. "Appreciate @MariahCarey taking some photos with my daughters today @cedarpoint," Bowling Green State University assistant men's basketball coach Steve Wright said Monday with two photos on Twitter, another social networking site. Carey, who's known for her five-octave vocal range, has recorded 15 studio albums that have included hits like "We Belong Together," "Vision of Love," "Always Be My Baby," among many others. The R&B singer's most iconic hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" from her 1994 album "Merry Christmas," can be frequently heard on the radio during the holiday season. The album has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide, "making it the best-selling Christmas album of all time," according to eonline.com. In December 2019, the Christmas tune topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time more than 20 years after its initial release. "While extending her record as the solo artist with the most No. 1 singles on the Hot 100, the achievement also made her the only artist in history to have a No. 1 song in four consecutive decades," the entertainment website states.
