Mornings with Mommy sessions begin Monday

JENERA — Mornings with Mommy, a program offering playtime and activities for children through age 6 and their parents, grandparents and nannies, will resume Monday and will continue on the first and third Mondays of each month, with encore sessions on the following Tuesdays. Sessions are held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera. Advance registration is required online at tlcjenera.org or by calling 262-391-7994. The cost is $5 per family (not per child), per session, payable via cash or check. Each session will offer age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners. Each session will have its own theme, but the basic structure will be consistent and will include a devotion and language and literacy activities. Separate stations will be set up for each family with crafts, sensory bins and educational toys and activities. The schedule of dates and themes includes: Monday or Sept. 21: At the Farm; Oct 3 or 4: Raccoons, S'mores and Camping; Oct. 17 or 18: Music and Instruments; Nov. 7 or 8: Things That Go; Nov. 21 or 22: Fall Harvest Time; Dec. 5 or 6: Bugs, Worms and Little Things; Dec. 19 or 20: Happy Birthday Jesus Party; Jan. 2 or 3: Winter Days - Snowflakes, Hats and Mittens; Jan. 16 or 17: Moon, Stars and Night-Time; Feb. 6 or 7: Red, Hearts and Valentine's Day; Feb. 20-21: Colors and Shapes; March 6 or 7: Fun with Food; March 20 or 21: Monkeys, Zebras and the Zoo; April 3 or 4: Eggs and Easter-Jesus is Risen!; April 17 or 18: Rain, Clouds and Puddles; May 1 or 2: Flowers, Birds and Mother's Day; May 15 or 16: Summertime Fun - Sand, Seashells and Picnics. Pre-school Playtime will be every second Monday of the month from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Children ages 5 and younger, along with their caregivers, can come to play in the gym with balls, ride-on toys, etc. This is a free program.
