Gerardi's goal helps Findlay boys tie Springfield HOLLAND – Joe Gerardi scored off a pass from Arda Dastan, and Findlay played Holland Springfield to a 1-1 tie. The Trojans' Ava Roach won at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-2, over Toledo Central Catholic's Lauren Bishop. At second singles, FHS' Katy Rubiola stopped the Irish's Kenzie Carr, 6-4, 6-2. In the final singles match, the Trojans' Caitlin England prevailed over Anna Preston, 6-0, 6-0. In doubles play, the TCC duo of Jane Cowell and Joran Traver upended Findlay's Mia Kennard and Lily Korecky, 6-2, 6-4. In the other doubles match, Toledo Central Catholic's Nia Hunter and Jamela Fox-Morris beat FHS' Maggie Kenny and Jocelyn Barberree, 6-4, 7-5. (14 head) Van Buren girls set 9-hole mark Three Van Buren golfers shot in the 30s, and the Black Knights set a program record for nine holes by recording a 157 in a tri with Elmwood and North Baltimore. Claire Recker and Joslyn Hunt each shot a 37, and Maggie Wehrle fired a 39 as the Black Knights topped the Royals, 157-210. Addyson Adams added a 44 for Van Buren. Elmwood's Delaney Blake fired a team-best 48, while Maddie Milligan put up a 49. Izzy Courtney shot a 53 for the Royals and Madison Feehan carded a 60. North Baltimore had two golfers. SANDUSKY 2 MANSFIELD CHRISTIAN 2 MANSFIELD – Mia Norris' goal with 10:41 left in regulation secured a 2-2 tie for Upper Sandusky at Mansfield Christian Thursday. Morris also assisted on Erin Merriman's first half goal, which gave the Rams a 1-0 lead. Mansfield Christian answered with back-to-back goals by Callah Rader and Noelle Beare. The Eagles outshot the Rams 14-9, with USHS goalkeeper Elle Ham making 10 saves. The Eagles goalie, Abigail Heininger, had five saves. O-G 3 BATH 0 OTTAWA – Clara Beach, Bri Douglas and Lily Haselman each scored a goal for Ottawa-Glandorf Thursday, and the Titans shut out Bath 3-0. Douglas added an assist, as did Karsyn Erford. O-G outshot Bath 8-2, and Emma Brinkman made two saves in goal for the Titans. The Wildcats' Kyla Bailey had four.
