McComb driver Life-Flighted to hospital following Saturday crash

MCCOMB — A McComb man was taken by Life Flight to a Toledo hospital after a two-vehicle injury crash in McComb Saturday afternoon. Randall Shank, 67, was transported to Mercy Health — St. Vincent Medical Center after being thrown from a 1990 Honda GL 1500 motorcycle on Park Drive South at Southcrest Drive at 1:01 p.m. Shirley Reis, 65, also of McComb, was stopped at a stop sign on Southcrest Drive in a 2019 Honda Passport and started to cross Park Drive South, failing to observe Shank traveling south on Park Drive South, the release states. Reis' vehicle struck Shank's motorcycle and Shank was thrown from the motorcycle. Both vehicles came to a rest on the west side of the intersection on Southcrest Drive. Shank's condition was not known Sunday. Reis was treated at the scene by North Baltimore EMS. Deputies said Reis was wearing a seat belt and the vehicle's airbags were deployed. The crash is currently under investigation and no citations were issued over the weekend. Assisting at the scene were the McComb Volunteer Fire Department, PMP EMS, D&D Towing and Dick's Towing.
