Findlay woman convicted of vehicular homicide

After a four-day trial, Tiffany P. Robertson, of Findlay, was convicted of aggravated vehicular homicide Thursday at the Seneca County Justice Center. Robertson had been accused of speeding, crossing the center line and crashing into a motorcycle operated by Jeremy Martinez, of Findlay, on County Road 59 in Seneca County on July 25, 2020. Martinez was killed as a result of the crash. An investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol concluded that in addition to crossing the centerline of County Road 59, Robertson had been operating her vehicle in excess of 100 mph just prior to the crash at a curved portion of the road, a release from Seneca County Prosecutor Derek DeVine states. The case was tried in the courtroom of Judge Steve Shuff. After the verdict, Robertson's bond was revoked and she was placed in the Seneca County Jail pending sentencing, which will take place at a later date. The maximum sentence that could be imposed is 60 months in prison. The conviction also requires a mandatory driver's license suspension.
