Area road projects announced

The following highway construction and maintenance work is scheduled this week in Hancock and surrounding counties, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Work depends on weather conditions and, unless otherwise noted, will take place during daytime hours. Allen County U.S. 30, from State Route 65 to State Route 696, between Cairo and Beaverdam, will have traffic impacted due to a resurfacing project. U.S. 30, from Defiance Trail to Buettner Road, will be restricted to one lane for bridge work. U.S. 30, from Wapakoneta Road to the Gomer Road overhead, will be restricted to one lane for bridge work. State Route 117, Westminster, may have traffic impacts and lane restrictions for utility relocation work. State Route 309, from Perry Chapel Road to Pevee Road, east of Lima, is open following a project to construct two roundabouts. Hancock County County Road 172, from U.S. 68 to Ohio 37, will be closed today through Thursday for resurfacing. Jackson Township Road 168, from Ohio 37 to County Road 8, will be closed Friday for resurfacing. Henry County State Route 110, from Industrial Drive to County Road 424, Napoleon, may experience lane restrictions for finish work through fall. Putnam County Ohio 109, from Ottawa to Township I-9, will be restricted to one lane for pavement repairs. Ohio114, from Ohio 694 to Kalida, will be restricted to one lane for pavement repairs. Ohio 634, just south of Dupont, will be restricted to one lane for work on the bridge over the Auglaize River. Ohio 694, from Ohio 114 to U.S. 224, will be restricted to one lane for pavement repairs. Seneca County U.S. Route 224, at State Route 587, New Riegel, may experience lane restrictions for finish work. Ohio 590, for Ohio 12 to County Road 62, Bettsville, will be closed for milling and paving on Thursday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wood County Interstate 75 ramps to Ohio 18, North Baltimore, will be closed for pavement repairs today from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. I-75, between Buck Road and Monroe Street, in Toledo/Rossford/Northwood, will be restricted to two lanes in each direction for major reconstruction. Lane restrictions and overnight ramp closures possible. Work is estimated to be completed in fall 2023. State Route 25, from Cygnet Road to U.S. 6, Bowling Green/Portage, will experience lane restrictions and closures for roadway reconstruction through summer 2023. State Route 65, from Roachton Road to Hull Prairie Road, Perrysburg, is closed for pump station replacement through mid-November. State Route 235, from Bays Road to Jerry City Road, Milton/Custar, is closed for a culvert replacement through early October. State Route 582, from Ohio 64 to Asmus Road, Haskins, is closed for waterline work through Friday. Wyandot County U.S. 23, from County Road 330 to Carey, will have lane restrictions for pavement repairs and crack sealing operations. U.S. 23, from County Highway 16 to Township Highway 5/Statler Road, is open following two culvert replacements.
