Woodland association holds meeting

The Northwest Ohio Woodland Association will meet Saturday at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources District Two office, 952 Lima Ave. Tyler Morlock, a consulting forester in Northwest Ohio, will discuss timber harvests. Morlock grew up farming with his father near Portage and graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in forestry, fisheries and wildlife in 2017. He received his surveyor certificate in 2021. He now lives in Nevada, Ohio. The business meeting will include the secretary's report, Facebook update and finance report. Updates will also be given on the Ohio tree farm and the service forester. The event will start at 9 a.m. with coffee, followed by the meeting at 9:30 a.m. A potluck lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sloppy joes, water and coffee will be provided.
