Man charged with firing gun at another

A Findlay man was indicted by a Hancock County grand jury last week, alleging he fired a gun at another male last fall. Austin J. Wickman, 29, of 800 Fifth St., was charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony. The indictment includes a specification alleging that Wickman fired a gun at another male from a motor vehicle in September in Van Buren Township. Javarian A. Mead, 24, of Toledo, was charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Robert L. Smith Jr., 48, and Aisha M. Cochran, 45, both of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, were each charged with operating a vehicle with a hidden compartment used to transport a controlled substance, a second-degree felony. Each person's indictment alleges that fentanyl was contained in the hidden compartment of the same sport utility vehicle on Jan. 11 in Allen Township. Duane M. Noel, 45, of 4322 County Road 257, Fostoria, was charged with illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. The indictment alleges that the offense involved methamphetamine and a government building in Findlay. Iris N.
