Man pleads guilty in Findlay death

A Toledo man pled guilty and was sentenced Wednesday to 17 years prison in the 2018 shooting death of a Findlay man. Rudy Rico Moya Sr., 31, of Toledo, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter with a gun specification and aggravated burglary, both first-degree felonies. He was sentenced in Hancock County Common Pleas Court by Judge Reginald Routson. The 17-year prison sentence Routson gave Moya is mandatory, said Hancock County Prosecutor Phillip Riegle. Jeffery L. Gary, 56, who was known by the nickname "Doughboy," died of two gunshot wounds in February 2018. He was pronounced dead at his trailer at 1316 Fox St. Moya had been facing charges of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery in Gary's death. Ishmael Jose Moya, 27, of Toledo, is scheduled to enter a plea this morning in Gary's death. He is facing charges of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery in Gary's death. A third man, Jayden Mark Edwards, 25, of Toledo, has been sentenced to nine years in prison in Gary's death. He has pleaded guilty to complicity to involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony; and complicity to aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. A fourth man, Delfino Thomas Edwards, 25, of Toledo, has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony; and aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony. He is scheduled for sentencing March 22.
