Ben Best lined three base hits, drove in two runs and scored once. Luke Weihrauch, Tucker Oliver and Jake Bishop all had two hits each for the Trojans, who dropped their fourth straight decision and fell to 3-7 overall, 2-3 in the TRAC heading into today's game at Marion Harding. Garlock entered the game with a 3-0 record and 0.61 ERA. The senior left-hander struck out 11, walked just one and faced 24 batters in the seven-inning game. Conner Hiss doubled, tripled and drove in two runs. Mason Modd had an RBI triple for L-B, which went up 5-0 following a four-run rally in the second inning and rode Garlock's strong pitching the rest of the way. Ranked No. 3 among Ohio's Division III teams, Liberty-Benton improved to 11-1 overall, 5-0 in the BVC and remained tied with Riverdale (10-2, 5-0 BVC) atop the league standings.
