Homemade and homegrown

Over two dozen local businesses set up shop at the Hancock County Farmers' Market Thursday. From 4-6 p.m. in the Marathon Center for Performing Arts parking lot, visitors can view the homegrown and homemade items from a variety of businesses at the market. The businesses featured at the market this week were: B and M Nursery, Betts Maple Syrup, Bread, Butter & Beyond, C-Stan Produce, Crimson Alchemy, Feel the Burn Hot Sauce, Good News Grass & Cattle, I Love Cupcakes, Kathleen's Kitchen, Keller Bison, Kimberly's, The Lawrence Place, Mark's Garden, My Own Backyard Herbs & Flowers, Old Homestead Soaps & Lotions, Riehm Produce Farm LLC, Roger's Honey, Shepherds Kettle Corn, Sweet Dream Gourmet, Sweets on the Edg, Taste Tempers, The House That is a Kitchen, The Quarry Farm, Wild Vine Farm, Will's Sharp-it Shop and Windy Wild Acres. In partnership with the Blanchard Valley Health System, the market provides $4 in free tokens to children ages 4-15 to spend on any produce at the market. Visitors can also purchase tokens to use instead of a credit or debit card. Those with SNAP and EBT cards also can buy up to $25 in produce and receive a $25 match on purchases.
