Findlay library to offer escape room

An escape room and a makerspace program focusing on comics and animation will be some of the events offered at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library starting Sunday. Escape Room: The Heist is scheduled Sunday and Monday. This family-friendly escape room is designed for children in grades 4-8. Registration is required and there are several times available. Check the calendar at findlaylibrary.org for registration. Teens in grades 8-12 can register for teen totes beginning on Tuesday. Once they sign up, a tote will be prepared for them filled with teen library books, snacks and bookmarks. Storytime takes place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the Lindamood Room. Participants will sing, rhyme, read and craft together. Sports is this week's theme. Children can visit the Lindamood Room anytime from 2-3:30 p.m. Tuesday for a makerspace program. Baby Storytime will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and Friday in the Lindamood Room. Miss Nicole will lead families in singing, rhyming, reading and having fun with scarves and bells. Mini Meet-up takes place at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Friday in the children's programming room. This is an opportunity for youngsters to socialize and explore new games, toys and activities that are educational and fun while meeting other families. The program is for infants up to 36 months with their caregivers. Older siblings are also welcome. An Instant Pot Mocktails program for adults will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Lindamood Room. Attendees will learn how to make cool summertime mocktails using an instant pot. Registration is required. Members of the Meet Cute Book Discussion group will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the administration office to explore Suzanne Woods Fisher's "The Sweet Life."
