Chamber presents Small Business Awards

Miller's Meats, BBQ & Catering; Trent Farthing, the Buckeye Co. and Melissa LaRocco were among those honored Wednesday during the 60th annual Small Business Awards. The awards program was sponsored by the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce and WFIN-WKXA-106.3 The Fox, alongside The Courier. The presentation was held at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts. Miller's Meats, BBQ & Catering was named Small Business of the Year. Trent Farthing of Key Realty was named Small Business Person of the Year. The Buckeye Co. was named Emerging Business of the Year. Melissa LaRocco — Legal Aid of Western Ohio was named Nonprofit Leader of the Year. Professional of the Year went to Brett Hughes of Lowenoak Landscape Development. The "Our Spirit Shows" Hospitality Award was presented to Oktoberfest Findlay. Hurdwell was named Agriculture Enterprise Champion of the Year. Bin Talking Trash & Hauling was named the Diverse Small Business Champion of the Year Gillig Winery won the Do Good! Award Kendra Nye — Glass Roots was named the Go Local Small Business Champion of the Year. The Small Business Manufacturing Excellence Award was presented to Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies. Glenda Renz — Blanchard Valley Health System won the ATHENA Award. The Manufacturing & Distribution Leadership Impact Award was presented to Jake Warrington — American Plastics. Allen-Kramp Wealth Management was named Downtown Champion of the Year. Doty Dental was named Family Owned Small Business Champion of the Year. Journey Salon & Day Spa was named Customer Service Champion of the Year. Sabrina Rodabaugh — Mind Body Fitness was named Women in Business Champion of the Year.
