Findlay woman severely injured in 3-vehicle crash

AMANDA TWP. — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash on Ohio 15 that sent a woman to a Toledo hospital Monday night. According to a release from the State Patrol, Brittany Furguson, 32, of Findlay, was traveling eastbound on Ohio 15, west of Vanlue, in a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer about 9:43 p.m. and crossed the median into the westbound lanes. Furguson's vehicle struck a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Robert Kelly, 53, of Michigan, head on. After the first collision, Furguson's Trailblazer was then struck by a 2019 Peterbilt semi driven by Gurpreet Singh, 28, of Michigan. Furguson was ejected from the SUV. Furguson suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Mercy Health Life Flight to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo. She was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the collisions, the release states. Kelly was transported by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital for "severe, but non-life-threatening" injuries, it states. Singh was not injured in the crash. The Trailblazer was towed from the scene by Ed's Towing while the pickup truck was towed by BG Towing. The semi sustained functional damage, but was driven away from the scene.
