Woman leads Findlay police on pursuit

A woman was arrested following a mile-long pursuit through Findlay Thursday evening. About 6:18 p.m., Natalie A. Strahm, 42, of Findlay, was traveling southbound on South Blanchard Street. She failed to stop for a stop sign at Blanchard Avenue and an officer trying to initiate a traffic stop, according to a release from the Findlay Police Department. Strahm also failed to stop for a traffic light onto Sixth Street, and went left of center. Strahm reached 70 miles per hour and turned onto South Main Street, running another traffic light, and continued onto Locust and South West streets. She ran another stop sign before stopping at the intersection of South West and Liberty streets. When the pursuit ended, Strahm stepped out of the vehicle, yelled at an officer and attempted to get back into the vehicle. When Strahm stepped towards the officer, the officer used a Taser on her and she was arrested, the release states. The pursuit lasted about a mile. No injuries were reported and no vehicles were struck during the pursuit, according to the release. Strahm is incarcerated at the Hancock County Justice Center and has been charged with failing to comply and obstructing official business.
