City Mission to host former Stonebridge Church meal

The City Mission of Findlay is partnering with CedarCreek Church to host the former Stonebridge Thanksgiving Dinner from 1-4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, at the City Mission. Stonebridge Church merged with CedarCreek Church in August and is currently under construction. Because of this, a release states, they are unable to host the annual dinner as usual. CedarCreek wanted to continue the traditional Thanksgiving meal and was led to the City Mission while searching for a partner to help with the event. Due to the change in location, a few changes have been made to the dinner this year. First, the location for the event is moved to the City Mission building, 510 W. Main Cross St., Findlay. Parking for the dinner will be directly across the street in the combined St. Michael's/NAPA Ohio Automotive parking lot. Also this year, the meal will be pick-up only. The window for pick-up will be on the Front Street side of the building. No through traffic will be permitted in the alleyway connecting West Main Cross Street to Front Street due to expected foot traffic. Similar to the drive-thru set up at previous Stonebridge Thanksgiving dinners, the City Mission will ask for a name and number of needed meals. Dinners do not need to be pre-ordered, but there is a limit of five meals per person. For those looking to help in the dinner efforts, food and money may be donated directly to the City Mission and volunteer serving opportunities are available.
