O-G's Maag Division III coach of the year

COLUMBUS – Ottawa-Glandorf's Michelle Maag was named Division III girls' Coach of the Year and three O-G players earned all-state recognition as well in the 2023 all-Ohio soccer selections released by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association. Maag guided O-G to a 22-2-0 overall record. The Titans were Division III state runner-up for a third straight year. O-G's Makenna Siefker, a junior forward who scored a single-season record 36 goals, and senior midfielder Myka Aldrich were first team all-Ohio and senior midfielder Mackenzie Recker was second team. Van Buren sophomore midfielder Kamryn Bowman (25 goals, 5 assists), Columbus Grove junior forward Lauren Auchmuty (31 goals, 15 assists) and Miller City's Danica Ehlers were also second-team all-Ohio in Division III. Liberty-Benton had two second-team all-Ohio players, junior midfielder Garrett Nealis (23 goals, 19 assists) in the Division III boys selections, and senior forward Emma Hooper (13 goals, 7 assists) among the Division II girls. Bluffton's Haley Hoffer was the Division III girls assistant coach of the year.
