Seafood grill shutters

FINDLAY — The owners of Fins Seafood & Grill announced they will be shutting the seafood restaurant down "with great sadness" next month. "After great consideration, we made the difficult decision to permanently close Fins at the end of the day on Tuesday, March 12," Linda Landes posted on the restaurant's Facebook page Friday afternoon. "Having the restaurant has been a delightful experience for us and will continue to hold a special place in our hearts." Fins Seafood & Grill was a popular venue for local musicians to play, as well as for guests to host birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, marriage proposals, showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions and holidays. "It has been a joy to watch so many of you grow up, graduate, marry, start families and discover new careers," Landes wrote. "The time has come for me to retire and for Greg to explore new horizons." The property, 1801 Broad Ave., was originally owned by Bob Evans Farms since 1900 before being sold to Triple L Ventures for $410,000 in 2008, when it became Fins Seafood & Grill, according to records from the county auditor. Landes and her son Greg, as the general manager, have been operating the restaurant for nine years. "We will forever be grateful for your support and loyalty over the years and we are truly humbled and honored to have served you," Landes wrote.
