MCPA to present 'Finding Nemo Jr.'

FINDLAY — The Marathon Center for the Performing Arts will present the big blue world of Disney and Pixar's Finding Nemo Jr. in the Donnell Theater on March 8 and 9. From a provided synopsis of the musical: Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. Featuring memorable songs such as "Just Keep Swimming," "Fish Are Friends Not Food," and "Go With the Flow," Finding Nemo Jr. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship and adventure. "Finding Nemo Jr." is a Youtheatre production, involving 65 students in grades 3-5 performing in the cast and participating in the technical crew. The directing team includes Samantha Henry as director, Erica Bickhart as music director and Jordan Gottschalk as choreographer. "Finding Nemo Jr." is presented through special arrangement with and all materials are provided by Music Theatre International. Show times are 7 p.m. March 8 and 2 p.m. March 9. Tickets cost $16 for adults and $13 dollars for senior citizens, with $1 from every ticket going to the Youtheatre College Scholarship fund at the MCPA. All seating is reserved.
