Findlay's income tax e-file attracts users

As of Friday, nearly 100 income tax returns have been filed through Findlay's new e-file portal. The portal went live for the first time in mid-March. "We have had some phone calls with questions concerning the process, but overall I believe it has been well received and the public is glad to have an online portal to file through," said Mary Price, city income tax administrator. "We have heard several times from taxpayers that it's very easy to access from the city website." The link for the portal is posted on the income tax subpage on the city's website: www.findlayohio.gov Users can file Findlay local tax returns online, check account balances and upload tax documents through the portal. All city income tax returns can be filed through the portal. E-filing portals for villages that contract with Findlay for income tax collections are not yet available, but are expected to be added in the future. Tax documents may still be dropped off in the drop box in the parking lot south of the municipal building, 318 Dorney Plaza, in the drop box inside the doors, or mailed to the City of Findlay Income Tax Department, P.O. Box 862, Findlay OH 45839-0862. All 2023 city of Findlay income tax returns are due by Monday, April 15, 2024.
