BVHS starts Health Connect podcast

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Health System has launched a new podcast titled "Health Connect." The podcast will feature discussions on the connections between BVHS services and the greater local community. Health Connect is meant to educate the community on new physicians, providers and technology, as well as untangling the complexities of healthcare and giving listeners a glimpse into healthcare offerings available locally, a release from BVHS states. This series will be co-hosted by Eric Proctor, chief people officer at BVHS, and Sam Sprunger, a Bluffton podcaster. Proctor will provide insights into the BVHS culture, career opportunities and the unique stories of the organization's patients, associates and medical staff, and Sprunger will bring the layperson's perspective, being outside the healthcare industry but eager to learn and help listeners understand, a release from the organization states. "Our team has many great stories to tell, and we're excited to share those stories through a BVHS podcast for the first time," Proctor said. "We can't wait for our community members to get to know some of our extraordinary people and hear some of the stories that make BVHS special." Episodes of Health Connect will be approximately 20 minutes long, meant to match listeners' commute times. The first episode was released on April 18.
