Pandora man dies in crash

OTTAWA TOWNSHIP — A Pandora man died and a Leipsic man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Putnam County. Ramon Ramos-Villa, 44, of Leipsic, was driving westbound in a 2007 Ford Edge on County Road M, in Ottawa Township about 12:20 p.m. He failed to yield at a stop sign at the road's intersection with Ohio 65 and his vehicle was struck by a 2017 GMC Sierra being driven southbound on Ohio 65 by Andrew Ellerbrock, 31, of Ottawa. Ramos-Villa's vehicle overturned before coming to a stop, according to a release from the Lima post of Ohio State Highway Patrol. Feliciano Ramos-Villa, 34, of Pandora, the front-right seat passenger in Ramon Ramos-Villa's vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Ramon Ramos-Villa was transported by Life Flight to Mercy Health — St. Rita's in Lima with serious injuries. Ellerbrock was transported by ambulance to the Ambulatory Care Center with minor injuries. Assisting at the scene were the Putnam County Prosecutor's Office, Putnam County Coroner, Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Putnam County EMS, Ottawa EMS, Glandorf Fire Department and DAB Towing & Automotive Service Center.
