L-B school board approves food service contract

FINDLAY — The Liberty-Benton Board of Education met for their regular June meeting yesterday evening. A one-year contract between Liberty-Benton Local Schools and The Nutrition Group, a full-service management company, was approved by the board. The Nutrition Group will manage Liberty-Benton's food service department during the 2024-25 school year, beginning on July 1, 2024. After approving the consent items, the board entered executive session to discuss the "appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of any employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against an employee, official licensee or student, or if any of these individuals request a public hearing," the "purchase of property for public purposes or the sale of property at competitive bidding, "preparing for, conducting, or reviewing negotiations or bargaining sessions with employees" and "specialized details of security arrangements." The next Liberty-Benton Board of Education meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 24 in the Board of Education Room, located on 9190 County Road 9 in Findlay.
