Sheetz set to build store

FINDLAY — Sheetz has obtained building permits for the store, fuel canopy and fuel system it will be constructing at the northeast corner of North Main Street and County Road 99. The issuance of the permits to Sheetz means construction, which will cost an estimated $3.7 million, will likely be starting soon. and the convenience store/restaurant will be 6,139 square feet. The convenience store will have a made-to-order section and a drive-thru. Sheetz' plans also call for construction of a 1,649-square-foot car wash on the east side of the property. It does not appear to have obtained a building permit for the car wash yet. The store could be open for business by the end of 2025, a Sheetz representative said. Sheetz also will soon start construction of a $150 million, 511,704-square-foot building for warehousing, production and offices for Sheetz convenience stores. Construction of the building, northwest of the Hancock County Road 212-Allen Township Road 230 intersection, could start this summer. The building could be operational by early 2026. The company has said it will create 750 jobs over five years at the larger facility.
