UPPER SANDUSKY 2023 RECORD: 4-6 overall, 3-4 Northern 10 Conference KEY GAME: September 13 at Carey. Upper Sandusky's first N10 test of the season comes in Week 4 against a battle-tested rival. The Blue Devils have won the N10 for three consecutive years, with a state title victory and 11 playoff games in that time frame. The last time the Rams secured a win over the Blue Devils was 2015, with a week two 20-6 road victory. Since that game in 2015, Carey has scored 349 points, while Upper Sandusky has put up just 96 across those same eight meetings. Winning in their first N10 game of the season against the expected winner of the conference could give the Rams a confidence boost and be a sign of things to come for a team looking to improve on a sub-.500 record in 2023. INTERESTING FACT: Despite going just 3-4 in the N10, the Rams housed the 2022 and 2023 Offensive Player of the Year in quarterback Kaden Holman. Holman was also selected to the 2021 All-N10 first team. He threw for over 2,000 yards, threw 17 or more touchdowns, and completed at least 58-percent of his passes all three of those seasons. Replacing Holman's production will be crucial for the Rams in 2024. MAGIC NUMBER: 9. That's how many seniors the Rams lost from its 2023 team, which might not seem like many. However, that includes the aforementioned Holman, along with receivers Ethan Hill and Gavin Frey. The two of them were both top 10 in receiving in the N10 last year, and combined with Holman to score a whopping 50 touchdowns last season. As the core of the offense, their loss and how Upper Sandusky responds to it will define the Rams' 2024 season.
