Rhoad Trust scholarship winners announced

FINDLAY — The Robert L. Rhoad Trust Scholarship has been awarded to 10 area students pursuing a secondary education. These students, along with 32 others who received the scholarship in past years, will receive $2,000 annually from the Robert L. Rhoad Scholarship Fund. There are also two other students who are receiving $1,000 annually from the fund, as they are attending a two-year program. The scholarship fund was started by Robert Rhoad, a former Findlay resident who was educated at Findlay schools. This year's awardees include: Sophronia Ball, Findlay High School, who will attend Owens Community College to study Animation. Molly Crates, Findlay High School, who will attend The Ohio State University to study Biomedical Engineering. Chloe Crawford, Findlay High School, who will attend The Ohio State University to study Secondary Education. Anna Durliat, Van Buren High School, who will attend The Ohio State University to study Sports Industries. Casey Leipheimer, Findlay High School, who will attend Kentucky State University to study Human Health Services. Emerson Lora, McComb High School, who will attend John Carroll University to study Biochemistry and Spanish. Gwenyth Miller, Vanlue High School, who will attend The Ohio State University to study Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Natalie Parmelee, Liberty-Benton High School, who will attend Ohio University to study History. Christian Price, Fostoria High School, who will attend the University of Findlay to study Pharmacy. Lillian Wiler, Arcadia High School, who will attend Bowling Green State University to study Physician Assistance.
