New surgeon joins BVHS Orthopedics

FINDLAY — Lucas McKean, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, has joined the team at Blanchard Valley Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System. McKean earned a bachelor of science degree in physics from Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio) and a medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at McLaren Flint Hospital (Flint, Michigan) and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin (Madison, Wisconsin). McKean brings experience in sports medicine from his work with the University of Wisconsin's football team. "I'm excited to join BVHS," McKean said. "Their commitment to sports medicine and helping athletes really stood out when I first met them, and I'm eager to contribute.
