Arlington stuns Ada on final play

ARLINGTON 44ADA 43ADA– Trenton Heacock and Brady Griggs connected for a touchdown as time expired in regulation, and Arlington defeated fellow unbeaten team Ada 44-43 on Friday in a Blanchard Valley Conference matchup.The Red Devils, now 3-0, picked up a win in their BVC opener. Heacock hit Griggs on an eight-yard throw as the clock hit zero to give Arlington the win. Arlington is set to travel to Van Buren next Friday. Ada moved to 2-1, and travels to Elmwood next week. RIVERDALE 21ARCADIA 7ARCADIA– Loukas Carter had another strong game as Riverdale defeated BVC opponent Arcadia on the road. Carter had 24 carries, finishing with 175 yards and three touchdowns. Grant Inbody completed four of his six passes, throwing for 98 yards. Riverdale is now 2-1 ahead of a home meeting with Liberty-Benton. Arcadia (0-3) travels to McComb next Friday. GALION 44U. SANDUSKY 0UPPER SANDUSKY – Galion quarterback Braxton Prosser threw four touchdown pass and the unbeaten Tigers improved to 3-0 with a 44-0 romp over Upper Sandusky.Prosser hit Jacob Chambers with 7- and 51-yard touchdown passes, connected with Ayden Schmidt on a 37-yard strike and had a 6-yard scoring pass to Trey Longwell. Prosser completed 17-of-25 passes for 244 yards and the four scores.Turnovers proved costly for Upper Sandusky, with the Rams (1-2) losing one fumble and having two passes picked off. BLUFFTON 63AYERSVILLE 7BLUFFTON– Bluffton demolished Ayersville 63-7 on Friday night.The Pirates picked up their third straight victory to head into a week four matchup with 1-2 Delphos Jefferson. Bluffton swept its non-conference schedule, as it looks primed for a strong rest of 2024. NEW LONDON 44VANLUE 8VANLUE– New London defeated Vanlue 44-8 on Friday.The Wildcats, now 0-3, were led by Bryce Wallen, who recorded 88 yards and 19 carries. Landon Saltzman had 35 yards on eight carries. Vanlue's only touchdown came in the fourth, as Wallen ran in a two-yard score and a two-point conversion.Vanlue is now 0-3, and will host Montpelier next Friday at 7 p.m.N. North Baltimore is now 1-2, and travels to Cory-Rawson to take on the 1-2 Hornets next Friday. WAPAKONETA 42O-GLANDORF 14WAPAKONETA– Wapakoneta picked up a Western Buckeye League victory on Friday, defeating Ottawa-Glandorf 42-14. The Titans (1-2) host the Elida Bulldogs next Friday at 7 p.m. FOSTORIA 44WOODWARD 6FOSTORIA– After only scoring six points through the first two games, Fostoria picked up a 44-6 blowout win over Toledo Woodward.The Redmen are now 1-2, and will host the Genoa Comets next Friday. H. NORTHERN 29 C-R 0 DOLA – Nolan Hopson starred for Hardin Northern Friday night, rushing for 272 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries as the Polar Bears blanked Cory-Rawson, 29-0. It was Hardin Northern's second straight win, and its third consecutive game where it scored at least 29 points. The Polar Bears (2-1, 2-0 NWCC) will travel to Waynesfield-Goshen next week. Cory-Rawson (1-2, 0-2 NWCC) will host North Baltimore. LEIPSIC 35 ELMWOOD 7 BLOOMVILLE – After a scoreless first quarter in Bloomville, Elmwood got on the scoreboard first when quarterback Owen Traxler ran seven yards to the end zone. That staked the Royals to a 7-0 lead. Leipsic then put up 35 unanswered points and knocked off Elmwood 35-7. Clark Schroeder and Ty Lammers each hauled in a pair of touchdown passes for the Vikings, who improved to 2-1. Leipsic will host Pandora-Gilboa next week, in a rematch from last season's playoffs. Elmwood (0-3) will host Ada.
