Ada tops Vanlue for first BVC win

ADA 3 VANLUE 0 VANLUE –Jenna Bassitt delivered 20 digs and served four aces, and Ada swept Vanlue, 25-16, 25-18, 25-18 in a BVC match. It was the Bulldogs' first victory as a member of the Blanchard Valley Conference Anna Conley smashed 12 kills and Dailah Preston registered seven for the Bulldogs, while Brooklyn Andreasen lined seven kills and four blocks. Jaylin St. Laurent dished out 30 assists for Ada, while Tessa Griffith collected 13 digs. Olivia Secord came up with 14 digs for the Wildcats, while Candace Saltzman added nine digs and Adrienne Phillips and Alison Brooks registered eight assists each. ARLINGTON 3 CONTINENTAL 2 ARLINGTON – Gabby Schutz slammed 14 kills and six blocks, and Arlington outlasted Continental, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-6. Alyssa Launder added 15 kills and 11 digs for the Red Devils, while Mea Alexander served four aces while recording 17 digs and 20 assists. For Continental, Teaghan McDougle dished out 40 assists, while Brynn Thompson had 13 kills and nine digs. Sidney Brickner dished out 36 assists and had 14 digs for the Chieftains, while Ashlyn Walters recorded eight blocks and four kills. O-G 3 EASTWOOD 0 OTTAWA – Ottawa-Glandorf's Addy Bellman set a career record for assists as the Titans knocked off Eastwood, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23. Bellman finished the match with a career total of 1,621 assists. Bailey Lance (4 aces) led VB with 13 digs, Paige Ryan had 11 and Lydia Ponn had six.
