Art League announces selfie show winners

FINDLAY — Findlay Art League announced the winners of its Selfie/Self-Portrait Show at a reception on Sept. 4. Best of Show: Laura Barnhardt Corle for a watercolor painting titled "Timeline: 1983-Present." 1st Place: Kyle Frisch for his mixed media figure titled "Putting Myself Out There." 2nd Place: Calen Fledderjohann for his photo called "In Pieces." 3rd Place: Jenison Davidson for "Self Portrait," an oil painting. Award of Merit: James Pilbeam for his photo titled "Broken Portrait." Award of Merit: Rick Conmay for "What?", an inkjet print photo. Honorable Mention: Linda Lehman for her watercolor and collage titled "Bird Lady: Family & Friends." Honorable Mention: Tim Powell for "Suspended," a paper clay and wood sculpture. Honorable Mention: Rosalie King for her colored pencil and pen drawing titled "The Journey Home." Honorable Mention: Kenneth F Smith for "Kenneth F Smith," a charcoal self-portrait. The show was juried by Jason Cox from the University of Toledo. The 39 pieces of art can be viewed in the gallery during regular hours 12:30-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 12:30-4 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 26.
