Findlay boys 8th at Twilight Invite

TROY TWILIGHT MEETTROY – Adrian Stechschulte was third in an elite field of runners and Findlay High's boys cross country team was eighth among 35 teams at the Troy Twilight Invitational on Saturday.Stechschulte ran a time of 15:39.6 in placing third in the boys Scarlet Division. Camden Stechschulte was 54th overall (16:51.2), Russell Stine IV was 71st (17:07.9), Lucas Parnell was 94th (17:31.4) and Phat Tran was 100th (17:35.2) Findlay's girls placed 23rd in the Scarlet Division team standings. Abanna Dotson led the Trojans, finishing 67th overall in a time of 20:55.5. Kayla Moyer (117th, 21:51.6), Gabby Brankamp (122th, 21:57.7), Daphne Paige (136th, 22:17.9) and Amber Bihn (162nd 17th, 21:51.6) rounded out Findlay's top five. GALION FESTIVALGALION – Liberty-Benton's Jackson Hochstettler was the overall winner and Cohen Levenhagen was third in leading the Eagles to a second place finish in the Division II boys division of the Galion Cross Country Festival on Saturday.Hochstettler hit the tape in a time of 16:26.50. Levenhagen came at 17:04.30, with Bryce Hans finishing 11th (17:49.30), Evan Makowski 12th (17:50.90) and Lane Fannin 19th (18:19.00) for L-B's 46-point total. Celina (41) was first in the team standing, with Upper Sandusky fourth (117).Abe Baldwin was 16th (18:05.00) and Bryce Weyand 20th (18:24.20) for Upper Sandusky, with Jameson Reile (24th, 18:43.30), Andrew Leightey (27th , 18:52.70) and Franklin Arnold (30th, 19:09.20) completing the Rams scoring.Top 20 finishes from Hope Morris (6th, 20:65.10), Shiloh Shasteen (11th, 21:31.60) and Jocelyn Leightey (15th, 22:04.00) paced Upper Sandusky (98 points) to a second-place finish behind Shelby (87) in the Division II meet. L-B's Madi Gaerke was fourth overall (20:08.30), Claire McDaniel was 13th (21:39.90) and Grace Flippin 21st (22:44.80), followed by Kylie Steinman (52nd, 25:00.40) and Hayden Gillig (67th, 26:28.30) O-G BLUE/GOLD INVITEOTTAWA – Ottawa-Glandorf didn't win the team titles but the Titans did have the first-place runner in both races at the Blue & Gold Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.Ty Rosengarten continued his strong season, winning the varsity boys race with a time of 15:43.80, six full seconds ahead of Van Wert's Owen Scott (15:49.95).O-G had the girls individual champion as well with Ava Buddelmeyer (18:31.56) edging Napoleon's Gwen Huddle (18:32.90) in that event.Napoleon won the girls title with 79 points. O-G's girls (87) were a close second.Van Wert (49) took the boys title over Bryan (74). O-G was eighth (224), Leipsic 13th (343) and Bluffton 18th (463).Ottawa-Glandorf bunched its runners well in finishing second in the girls division. Izzy Utendorf placed 17th (20:55.59), Liana Fortman 20th (21:13.93), Rose Turnwald 24th (21:22.10) and Carly Siefker 25th (21:23.85).In the boys meet, O-G's Cooper Fischer finished eighth (17:09.40), Bluffton's Levi Fenzl was 17th (17:34.78) and Leipsic's Calvin Miller was 26th (17:52.09). Riverdale was fourth (113), Carey fifth (119), Van Buren sixth (134),. North Baltimore eighth (214), Hopewell-Loudon 11th (243) and Fostoria 12th (274).Van Buren scored 87 points and was second in the boys standings behind Seneca East (74). Hopewell-Loudon was sixth (154), Elmwood seventh (159), Riverdale tenth (249), Fostoria 12th (271) and North Baltimore 14th (387).Four Elmwood runners placed among the top 15 in earning the Royals the girls title. Laura Tanner was third overall (20:09.18), Alayna Beasley was eighth (20:57.30), Grace Morgart 12th (21:24.24) and Janessa Childress 14th (21:45.27).Van Buren's Lily Grady was sixth overall (20:31.57) and Olivia Coutinho was 13th (21:30.46).
