Bluffton hangs on to knock off Van Buren

NORTHERN 3ELGIN 1DOLA– After dropping the first set, Hardin Northern surged back to win three straight to clinch a four-set victory over Elgin, 21-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-18.Catherine Overs had 12 kills, 10 digs, and five aces for the Polar Bears. Josselyn Paynter had 20 assists, 17 digs, three kills, and two aces. Morghan Nagel finished with 10 digs, eight kills, and two aces, while Lacie Allison added 14 digs and three kills. JOE 2BASCOM– It took five sets, but Hopewell-Loudon pulled out a win against Fremont St. Joe on Thursday night, winning 17-25, 26-24, 25-16, 16-25, 15-12.Leading the Chieftains was Olivia Bishop, who finished with a triple-double, recording 22 kills, 10 blocks, and 15 digs.
