VAN BUREN 49 ARLINGTON 48 VAN BUREN -- Three Van Buren players scored in double figures, and Van Buren held off a big Arlington rally in the fourth quarter to edge the Red Devils, 49-48. Brooklyn Wilkin registered 15 points for the Black Knights, who held a 35-27 lead after three quarters. But Arlington fought back behind 11 points each from Madison Ernst and Jada Smith, and outscored the Black Knights 21-14 over the final eight minutes. But Van Buren held on. The Panthers made things difficult on Arcadia Thursday, limiting the Redskins to just 11 first half points. From there, McComb was in control, getting 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists from Kacey Like, and 16 points, nine rebounds and three assists from Morgan Kern in a 54-33 win. With her point total, Auchmuty became the Bulldogs all-time leading scorer, surpassing Lauren Slusser, who finished her career with 1,500 points. Columbus Grove trailed the Knights 26-22 at the break, but rallied to take the lead after a 16-8 scoring run in the third quarter. Nicole Nesby had 14 points for the Bulldogs, who improved to 8-0, 2-0 in the NWC. Aubrey Schroeder added 13 points. Ellie Kline scored 21 for the Knights.
