Early voting starts April 8

The voter registration deadline for the May 6 primary election is April 7. The Hancock County Board of Elections office will be open on Monday, April 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Other locations to register include: the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library, the Fostoria License Bureau, the Findlay License Bureau, the Hancock County Court House Treasurer and Auditor Office, the Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services office, the McComb Library, the Fostoria Library, the Fostoria Auditor, the WIC Office, the Hancock County Job and Family Services office and the Hancock County Board of Developmental Disabilities office. To qualify for voter registration you must be a citizen of the United States, 18-years-old on or before Nov. 4 2025, and be a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days immediately before the election. Currently registered voters can check their current registration details at www.hancockcountyohioelections.gov to see their registered address. Changes to the filed address can be made until 9 p.m. online or at the Hancock County BOE. Early and in-person absentee voting for the August special election will begin April 8 in the BOE offices. The BOE will have the following business hours for in-person absentee voting: • April 8-11, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. • April 14-18, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. • April 21-25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. • April 28, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. • April 29, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. • April 30-May 2, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. • May 3, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. • May 4, 1-5 p.m. The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is April 29 by close of business, and the final day for in-person absentee voting is May 4.
